Terms of Service
Last updated: March 2026
Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the RunTailor platform. By accessing or using our website, mobile application, or any related services (collectively, the "Platform"), you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1. About RunTailor
RunTailor is an on-demand tailoring marketplace operated by RunTailor Technologies Private Limited, a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013, with its registered office in India ("RunTailor", "we", "us", or "our").
The Platform connects customers ("Customers") seeking tailoring, alteration, and bespoke clothing services with independent tailors, boutiques, and skilled artisans ("Service Providers") across India. RunTailor acts solely as an intermediary technology platform and facilitator — we are not the service provider and do not ourselves perform any tailoring or alteration work.
The actual tailoring, stitching, and garment-related services are rendered by independent Service Providers who have agreed to RunTailor's partner terms. RunTailor does not employ these Service Providers, and they are not agents or representatives of RunTailor.
2. Eligibility
To use the Platform, you must:
- 1Be at least 18 years of age. If you are between 13 and 17 years of age, you may use the Platform only with the involvement, consent, and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf.
- 2Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract under applicable Indian law.
- 3Not be barred from receiving services under the laws of India or any other applicable jurisdiction.
- 4Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and at all times thereafter.
By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet all of the foregoing eligibility requirements. RunTailor reserves the right to verify eligibility at any time and to refuse service to anyone who does not comply.
3. User Accounts & Registration
3.1 Account Creation. To access certain features of the Platform, including placing orders, you must create an account by providing a valid mobile number or email address and completing OTP verification. Optionally, you may register or log in using a supported third-party authentication provider (e.g., Google).
3.2 Account Security. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify RunTailor immediately at support@runtailor.com of any unauthorised access to or use of your account. RunTailor will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this obligation.
3.3 Accurate Information. You agree to keep your account information, including delivery address, contact details, and body measurements, accurate and up to date. Inaccurate measurement data may result in poor fit outcomes for which RunTailor and Service Providers cannot be held liable.
3.4 Suspension & Termination. RunTailor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, abuse Service Providers, or otherwise act in a manner that is harmful to the Platform, other users, or third parties. We may do so without prior notice where circumstances require immediate action.
3.5 One Account Per Person. You may not create multiple accounts for the purpose of circumventing suspensions, abusing promotional offers, or any other reason that violates these Terms. RunTailor may merge or delete duplicate accounts.
4. Order Placement, Confirmation & Fulfillment
4.1 Placing an Order. When you place an order on the Platform, you are submitting a request for tailoring or alteration services to be fulfilled by a Service Provider. An order constitutes an offer by you to purchase services, and a binding contract is formed only upon confirmation by both RunTailor and the assigned Service Provider.
4.2 Order Confirmation. You will receive an order confirmation via SMS, email, or in-app notification once a Service Provider has accepted your request. RunTailor reserves the right to reject or cancel any order — for example, if no suitable Service Provider is available, if the requested service cannot be performed as described, or if payment verification fails.
4.3 Garment Pickup & Drop-off. Depending on the service mode selected, garments may be picked up from your address by a RunTailor logistics partner, dropped off by you at a Service Provider's premises, or serviced through a home visit. Pickup and delivery timelines are estimates and may vary due to logistical constraints.
4.4 Service Quality & Responsibility. RunTailor will make reasonable efforts to assign skilled and vetted Service Providers. However, as RunTailor is a marketplace intermediary, the quality and outcome of the tailoring work is the responsibility of the respective Service Provider. In the event of a quality dispute, RunTailor will facilitate resolution through its support process in good faith.
4.5 Garment Care. While RunTailor and its logistics and Service Provider partners exercise reasonable care with your garments, RunTailor's liability for loss or damage to garments during transit or servicing is limited as set out in Section 12 (Limitation of Liability) of these Terms.
5. Pricing, Taxes & Payment
5.1 Pricing. Service prices are displayed on the Platform in Indian Rupees (INR) and are set by RunTailor in consultation with Service Providers. Prices may vary based on service type, garment complexity, fabric requirements, and selected Service Provider. All displayed prices are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
5.2 Goods & Services Tax (GST). All applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST) as levied under the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, and the Integrated Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, shall be charged at the prevailing rate on all taxable supplies made through the Platform. RunTailor, where required, shall act as a Tax Collector at Source (TCS) under the GST framework applicable to e-commerce operators. GST invoices will be made available in your account.
5.3 Payment Processing. Payments on the Platform are processed securely through Cashfree Payments, a licensed payment aggregator regulated by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). By making a payment, you also agree to Cashfree's terms of service and privacy policy. RunTailor does not store your full card or banking credentials on its servers.
5.4 Accepted Payment Methods. We accept UPI, credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay), net banking, and other payment modes supported by Cashfree from time to time.
5.5 Payment Failures. If a payment fails or is declined, your order will not be confirmed. RunTailor is not liable for any delays or losses caused by payment failures attributable to your bank, payment instrument, or network conditions.
5.6 Price Changes. RunTailor reserves the right to revise prices at any time without prior notice. The price applicable to your order is that displayed at the time of order confirmation.
6. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Cancellations and refunds are governed by our dedicated Cancellation & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms by reference. Please review that policy for full details on eligibility windows, refund timelines, and applicable deductions.
Key principles include:
- Orders may be cancelled within the cancellation window specified at the time of order placement, provided the Service Provider has not yet commenced work.
- Once a Service Provider has begun work on your garment, cancellation may attract a partial charge to compensate for work already performed.
- Refunds for eligible cancellations and quality complaints are processed to the original payment method within 5–7 business days, subject to payment gateway processing times.
- Custom bespoke orders with fabric already sourced or cut are generally non-cancellable and non-refundable once production has commenced.
- RunTailor is not obligated to provide a refund if service quality issues result from inaccurate measurements provided by the Customer.
For the complete policy, please visit our Cancellation & Refund Policy page.
7. Delivery
7.1 Logistics Partner. RunTailor uses Delhivery and other empanelled logistics partners for the pickup and delivery of garments between Customers and Service Providers. By using the Platform, you consent to your garments and related information being handled by these third-party logistics partners in accordance with their terms of service.
7.2 Delivery Timelines. Estimated delivery timelines are provided for guidance only. Actual timelines may be affected by factors beyond RunTailor's control, including logistical disruptions, public holidays, natural events, or service provider workload. RunTailor will endeavour to communicate delays proactively through notifications.
7.3 Delivery Address. You are responsible for providing an accurate and accessible delivery address. RunTailor and its logistics partners shall not be liable for non-delivery or delay caused by an incorrect or incomplete address provided by you.
7.4 Transit Risk. RunTailor takes reasonable precautions to ensure safe handling of garments during transit. In the event of loss or damage during transit, RunTailor will investigate and, where applicable, offer compensation within the limits set forth in Section 12. We recommend that Customers avoid sending irreplaceable or excessively high-value garments through the Platform.
8. AI Virtual Try-On
8.1 Nature of the Feature. The Platform may offer an AI-powered Virtual Try-On feature that allows you to preview how a garment, design, or style might look when worn. This feature uses artificial intelligence and machine learning models to generate visual simulations.
8.2 Simulation Disclaimer. All Virtual Try-On outputs are simulations only. They are approximate visual representations intended to assist your decision-making and do not constitute an exact preview of the finished garment. Actual results may differ materially due to fabric texture, drape, colour rendering on different screens, body proportions, stitching nuances, and other factors.
8.3 No Guarantee. RunTailor does not guarantee that the finished garment will match the Virtual Try-On simulation. Placing an order based on a Virtual Try-On preview does not create any obligation on RunTailor or the Service Provider to reproduce the simulation exactly.
8.4 Image Data. Any photographs or images you upload to use the Virtual Try-On feature will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By uploading an image, you grant RunTailor a limited licence to process and use that image solely for the purpose of generating the try-on simulation and improving the AI model, subject to the data retention policies described therein.
9. Intellectual Property
9.1 RunTailor IP. The Platform, including its design, software, code, text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, AI models, and all other content, is the exclusive property of RunTailor Technologies Private Limited or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws, including the Copyright Act, 1957, and the Trade Marks Act, 1999 of India.
9.2 Limited Licence. This licence does not include the right to sublicense, reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or commercially exploit any part of the Platform.
9.3 User Content. You retain ownership of any content you upload to the Platform (such as photographs of garments or measurements). By uploading content, you grant RunTailor a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use, reproduce, process, and display that content for the purposes of providing and improving the Platform services, subject to our Privacy Policy.
9.4 Feedback. Any suggestions, ideas, or feedback you provide about the Platform may be used by RunTailor without any obligation of compensation or attribution.

- Uploading or transmitting any content that is defamatory, obscene, harmful, threatening, harassing, or that infringes any third-party rights.

- Soliciting Service Providers to conduct transactions outside the Platform in order to avoid platform fees.
- Using automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the Platform in a manner that is not authorised.
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling any portion of the Platform's software or AI models.
- Violating any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights in connection with your use of the Platform.
Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate account suspension, termination, and/or legal action.
11. Third-Party Links & Services
The Platform may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites, services, or platforms (including Cashfree for payments and Delhivery for logistics). These third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. RunTailor does not endorse, control, or assume responsibility for the content, practices, or policies of any third-party services. Your interactions with third-party services are at your own risk.
12. Limitation of Liability
12.1 Platform as Intermediary. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RunTailor, acting as an intermediary marketplace, shall not be liable for any act or omission of a Service Provider, including defects in workmanship, delays in service completion, or damage to garments by a Service Provider.
12.2 Indirect Damages. To the maximum extent permitted by law, RunTailor shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform, even if RunTailor has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
12.3 Cap on Liability. To the extent RunTailor's liability cannot be excluded entirely under applicable law, RunTailor's total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with a specific order shall not exceed the amount paid by you for that order through the Platform.
12.4 No Warranty. The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
12.5 Force Majeure. RunTailor shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from causes beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, civil unrest, pandemic, labour disputes, governmental action, or infrastructure failures.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless RunTailor, its directors, officers, employees, agents, licensors, and Service Providers from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with: (a) your use of the Platform; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any applicable law or regulation; or (d) any content you submit or upload to the Platform.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, including but not limited to the Information Technology Act, 2000 (as amended), the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the Indian Contract Act, 1872, and all rules and regulations made thereunder.
The courts of competent jurisdiction in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction to adjudicate any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms, subject to the arbitration provisions in Section 15 below.
15. Dispute Resolution
15.1 Good Faith Resolution. In the event of any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform, the parties shall first attempt to resolve the matter amicably through good faith negotiations. You may contact our support team at support@runtailor.com to initiate the resolution process. RunTailor will endeavour to respond within 7 business days.
15.2 Arbitration. If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation within 30 days, either party may refer the matter to binding arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (as amended). The arbitration shall be conducted by a sole arbitrator mutually agreed upon by the parties, or appointed in accordance with the Act. The seat and venue of arbitration shall be in India. The language of arbitration shall be English.
15.3 Consumer Rights. Nothing in these Terms shall limit or restrict your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, including the right to approach a Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission.
15.4 Class Action Waiver. To the extent permitted by applicable law, any dispute shall be resolved on an individual basis and not on behalf of any class or group of persons.
16. Amendments to Terms
RunTailor reserves the right to modify, update, or replace these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where the changes are material, we will notify you via email, SMS, or in-app notification before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of the Platform after changes have been published constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must discontinue use of the Platform and may request account deletion by contacting support@runtailor.com.
17. Severability & Waiver
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
RunTailor's failure to enforce any right or provision under these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision unless acknowledged and agreed to by RunTailor in writing.
18. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cancellation & Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and RunTailor with respect to your use of the Platform and supersede all prior or contemporaneous understandings, agreements, representations, or warranties relating to the subject matter hereof.
