Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how RunTailor uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you use our website and mobile application, and the choices available to you.

Last updated: March 2026

01What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) when you visit a website or use an application. They are widely used to make websites and apps work more efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to website owners about how users interact with their services.

Similar technologies include web beacons (tiny transparent image files), pixel tags, local storage, and software development kits (SDKs) embedded in mobile applications. Throughout this policy, we use the term "cookies" to refer to all of these technologies collectively.

Cookies can be "session" cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser or app, or "persistent" cookies, which remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them. They can also be "first-party" (set by RunTailor) or "third-party" (set by our partners and service providers).

02Types of Cookies We Use

RunTailor uses the following categories of cookies and similar technologies on our platform:

Essential / Strictly Necessary

Always Active

These cookies are required for the RunTailor platform to function correctly. Without them, core services such as logging in, managing your order, or accessing secure pages would not work. These cookies do not collect information that could be used for marketing.

Session Cookies

Maintain your session as you navigate through the app or website. They are deleted when you close your browser or the session expires.

Authentication Cookies

Verify your identity after you sign in, ensuring you remain logged in as you move between pages and preventing unauthorised access to your account.

Security Cookies

Help detect and prevent fraud, cross-site request forgery (CSRF), and other malicious activity on our platform.

Load-Balancing Cookies

Route your requests to the correct server to ensure consistent performance during high-traffic periods.

Analytics & Measurement

Optional

These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with the RunTailor platform — which pages are visited most, how long users spend on each section, and where users drop off. This information is aggregated and anonymous, and is used solely to improve our product.

Google Analytics

Collects anonymised data about page views, user flows, session duration, and device/browser type. Data is processed by Google LLC under a data processing agreement. You can opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Firebase Analytics (Google)

Used in our mobile application to track in-app events, screen views, user retention, and conversion funnels. Firebase is a Google product and operates under Google's privacy infrastructure.

Performance & Functionality

Optional

These cookies enhance the performance and functionality of our platform. They may be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we have integrated. Disabling them may affect certain features.

Content Delivery Network (CDN) Cookies

Enable fast delivery of images, fonts, and other static assets from servers geographically close to you, reducing load times.

Error Monitoring Cookies

Help us identify and diagnose technical errors and crashes so we can resolve them quickly and maintain platform stability.

A/B Testing Cookies

Allow us to test different versions of a page or feature with different user groups to determine which performs better.

Personalization & Preferences

Optional

These cookies remember choices you make on our platform so we can provide you with a more personalised experience. They store your settings, preferences, and previously viewed items to avoid you having to re-enter information each time you visit.

Preference Cookies

Remember your selected language, region, measurement units (e.g., inches vs. centimetres), and display preferences.

Recently Viewed Cookies

Store items you have recently browsed so they can be shown to you again for convenience.

AI Try-On State

Temporarily retain your selected garment and try-on configuration during an active session so you do not lose progress.

03Purpose of Each Cookie Type

The table below provides a concise summary of the purpose served by each category of cookie on our platform:

CategoryPrimary Purpose
EssentialPlatform operation, security, and authentication
AnalyticsUnderstanding usage patterns to improve the product
PerformanceFaster load times, error detection, and feature testing
PersonalizationRemembering your preferences and tailoring your experience

04Third-Party Cookies & Services

RunTailor integrates third-party services to provide a robust, reliable platform. These services may set their own cookies or use similar technologies on our platform. We have listed the primary third-party providers below, along with links to their respective privacy and cookie policies.

Google Analytics

Provided by Google LLC

Website and app usage analytics, user behaviour measurement, and conversion tracking. Data is anonymised before processing and we do not use Google Analytics for advertising purposes.

Opt-out: You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Google Privacy Policy

Firebase (Analytics & Crashlytics)

Provided by Google LLC

In-app event tracking, screen flow analysis, crash reporting, and performance monitoring for the RunTailor mobile application. Firebase Crashlytics helps us identify and resolve app crashes in real time.

Opt-out: You can opt out of Firebase Analytics data collection within the RunTailor app by adjusting your in-app privacy settings under Account > Privacy Preferences.

Firebase Privacy Information

Cashfree Payments

Provided by Cashfree Payments India Private Limited

Payment processing and fraud prevention. Cashfree may set cookies or use device fingerprinting during the payment flow to verify transaction authenticity, prevent payment fraud, and comply with RBI regulations for payment security.

Opt-out: Cashfree's essential payment cookies cannot be disabled as they are required for secure transaction processing. Their use is governed by the Cashfree Privacy Policy.

Cashfree Privacy Policy

Note: RunTailor does not sell your data to third-party advertisers and does not use advertising networks or retargeting cookies. The third-party integrations listed above are used exclusively for operational, analytical, and payment-security purposes.

05Device Identifiers & Mobile SDKs

In addition to browser-based cookies, our mobile application for Android and iOS uses device identifiers and software development kits (SDKs) that function similarly to cookies. These include:

  • Advertising ID (GAID / IDFA)

Android devices expose a Google Advertising ID (GAID) and Apple devices expose an Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA). RunTailor uses these identifiers for analytics purposes only — to count unique users and measure app install attribution. We do not use them for personalised advertising. You can reset or opt out of these identifiers through your device settings.

  • Firebase Installation ID

A unique identifier generated by the Firebase SDK when the RunTailor app is installed. It is used to deliver app-level analytics, track crash reports, and manage push notification delivery. This ID is not linked to your personal identity.

  • Device Fingerprint (Cashfree)

During payment processing, Cashfree may collect device attributes (such as device model, OS version, and network type) to generate a risk signal for fraud prevention. This is a regulatory and security requirement and cannot be disabled.

  • Local Storage & AsyncStorage

Our mobile app uses device-local storage (AsyncStorage on React Native) to persist user preferences, session tokens, and cached content locally on your device. This data does not leave your device unless explicitly synced with our servers.

06Managing & Opting Out of Cookies

You have the right to accept, reject, or manage cookies on our platform. Below are the options available to you:

Browser Cookie Settings

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings preferences. You can configure your browser to block all cookies, accept only first-party cookies, or alert you before a cookie is stored. Instructions for common browsers:

  • Google Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and other site data
  • Mozilla Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Manage and delete cookies
  • Opera: Settings > Advanced > Privacy & Security > Site Settings > Cookies

Please note that disabling essential cookies will prevent you from logging in and using core features of the RunTailor platform.

Mobile Device Settings

On mobile devices, you can manage app permissions and advertising identifiers through your device settings:

  • Android: Settings > Privacy > Ads > Reset Advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads
  • iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking — disable tracking for RunTailor, or reset your Advertising Identifier
  • Within the RunTailor app: Account > Privacy Preferences — manage analytics and personalisation consent

Google Analytics Opt-Out

To opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites, you can install the official Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. This add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js, gtag.js) from sharing information about your visit activity.

07Compliance with the Indian DPDP Act 2023

RunTailor is committed to compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), enacted by the Government of India. The DPDP Act establishes the framework for the processing of digital personal data in India and grants individuals (referred to as "Data Principals") significant rights over their personal data.

Consent as the Legal Basis: Where we use non-essential cookies (analytics, performance, and personalisation), we rely on your consent as the legal basis for processing. Consent is obtained through our cookie consent notice presented when you first visit the RunTailor platform. You may withdraw your consent at any time through the methods described in Section 6.

Purpose Limitation: Data collected through cookies is used only for the purposes described in this policy. We do not repurpose cookie data for activities incompatible with the original collection purpose without obtaining fresh consent.

Data Minimisation: We collect only the data that is necessary for the stated purpose. Our analytics configurations are set to anonymise IP addresses and exclude personally identifiable information where possible.

Rights of Data Principals: Under the DPDP Act 2023, you have the right to access information about your personal data, correct inaccuracies, and in certain cases, request erasure of your data. To exercise these rights, please contact us at privacy@runtailor.com.

Cross-Border Data Transfers: Some of our third-party providers (such as Google) process data outside India. Where such transfers occur, they are governed by appropriate contractual safeguards and the data processing agreements we maintain with those providers.
